Mecha Galleries

No, you're not going to find any pictures of large Japanese robots here (cool as they are), sorry.
This will be a collection of various mechanical odds and ends that interest me; cars, trains, planes, mining equipment and assorted cast off mechanical junk.

Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad

The Durango & Silverton Railroad runs between Durango and Silverton on a route that follows the Animas River through the San Juan Mountains of Southwest Colorado. Originally it was built to service the many gold and silver mines in the area, however, now this narrow gauge beauty carries loads of happy tourists and railroad buffs on a trip through time and the gorgeous San Juan Mountains.

McDoel Yard | Monon Railroad

Yup, you guessed it, more trains.
These are black and white images shot during my college days at Indiana University (Bloomington is my home town). More info on the shoot is in the gallery.

Union Station | Ogden Utah

I spent about 20 minutes running around taking some quick shots at the Union Station Train Museum in Ogden Utah. I'll be going back soon to spend more time with these Locomotives and get more images. They have some items you don't see everyday, like the turbine powered Locomotive Union Pacific X-26 and the original Golden Spike. I tried to make up for the lack of shots by experimenting with what I have, variations on a theme, if you will. I'll add more later.
